Multi-Platform Formatting: Why One Caption Doesn't Fit All
Each platform has different character limits, hashtag norms, and audience expectations. Here's how to optimize for each without rewriting everything.

The biggest mistake multi-platform creators make is copy-pasting the same caption everywhere. Each network has different norms.
Twitter/X — 280 chars max. Lead with the hook. No fluff. End with a question or CTA.
LinkedIn — Long-form works. First 2 lines determine whether someone clicks "see more". Add line breaks every 2–3 sentences.
Instagram — Hashtags still matter (5–15 relevant ones). Caption should complement the visual, not repeat it.
TikTok — Caption is almost irrelevant. The first 2 seconds of video are everything.
SocialForge's Composer lets you write one master caption and customize it per platform.
